These pieces are my attempt to capture the simple sweet essence of small birds. After holding a small Blackbird that had found it’s way into my room at home I was struck by it’s delicacy and shape. Whilst not pursuing lightness for it’s own sake, I hoped to make a bird that felt ‘just right’ when held in the palm of one’s hand.
